iPhone (+ 13 Prozent), Service (+ 13 Prozent) und Mac (+ 15 Prozent) sorgen für ein Apple-Rekordquartal. Im Minus sind iPad (-9 Prozent) und Wearables sowie Gadgets (-9 Prozent). Apple verkauft mehr Musik- und TV-Streams, iCloud-Speicher und Produkt-Versicherungen als Macs, iPads und Apple Watch und EarPods zusammen. Alle Regionen im Plus (Japan +13; Europa +10; USA +9; Asien +20), einschließlich China (+ 4,4 Prozent), wo Apple kürzlich einen Apple Store schließen musste.
Pro Aktie zahlt Apple eine Dividende von 0,26 US-Dollar aus. Stichtag ist der 11. August. Ausgezahlt wird am 14. August. Der Gewinn liegt bei 1,57 US-Dollar pro Aktie.

Apple hat seit dem Launch 2007 mehr als drei Milliarden iPhone-Geräte verkauft. Für die erste brauchte es neun Jahre, die zweite fünf und die dritte weniger als vier. Der Markt scheint keineswegs gesättigt.
Der Berichtszeitraum endete am 28. Juni und ist im Geschäftsjahr von Apple das dritte Quartal. Für das kommende Quartal erwartet Tim Cook besondere Belastungen durch die Zölle von Trump in Höhe von 1,1 Milliarden US-Dollar; laufend waren es mit 800 Millionen US-Dollar etwas weniger als ursprünglich eingeplant.
