The Apple iPhone 6 is beautiful and familiar. Two years ago I reviewed the fifth-generation iPod Touch, likely the last in long line of Apple media player designs. It was thin — so thin in fact that the 5-megapixel camera lens stuck out a millimeter from the aluminum frame. It was all curves, with the exception of the sharp bevel around the display. It was, in essence, the prototype for the iPad Air, iPad Mini and now the exceptional Apple iPhone 6.

Interessant ist der Vergleich zum zwei Jahre alten iPod touch 5G: Überstehende Kameralinse, runde Gehäuse-Ecken. Der iPod touch sollte sich nur nur als Vorlage für das iPad Air und iPad mini erweisen sondern auch für das neue iPhone.
Das Leben ist hart: Matthew Panzarino tarnte seine iPhone-6-Testgeräte im zugeschnittenen Case eines Samsung-Gerätes und nahm Frau und Tochter mit ins Disneyland. Dort gefiel im das iPhone 6 in der Handhabung besser als das größere.

Bei The Verge kommen sowohl Nilay Patel ( iPhone 6 Plus ) als auch David Pierce ( iPhone 6 ) zu dem Fazit, das größere Display gehöre noch besser genutzt. Für das Querformat seien noch weitere Anpassungen im iOS und bei den Apps nötig.
